Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Rangatira Hautaonga Matihiko /Product Owner to join our Digital team and contribute to a range of initiatives. This role takes responsibility for the teams’ backlog and the management of it through all stages of the delivery framework.  As the Rangatira Hautaonga Matihiko /Product Owner you will be focused on ensuring your team is working on the right tasks in the right order to deliver the optimal performance.

This role works across our business and with a number of internal and external stakeholders. At Z we enjoy Agile Ways of Working and our Product Owners champion this as well as guiding and contributing to regular planning and goal setting.

This is a 12-month fixed term contract.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Create and maintain a prioritised backlog
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate business requirements into user stories
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders and vendors
  • Attend and run team ceremonies
  • Take a leadership role in quarterly planning preparation and delivery
  • Deliver business value while bringing teams on the Agile change journey

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to Z

  • Great communication skills, able to deliver concise and clear information where it is needed
  • Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders both internally and externally
  • A supreme organiser, this role suits someone that can make a backlog of tasks and identify priorities
  • Experience in a project or product environment would be advantageous
  • An ability to solve problems, manage processes and look at continuous improvements
  • Proven examples of delivering against plans

The base salary range for this role is $143,830 to $158,970 per annum, we also offer a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution.
