Ko tō tūranga – your role

Responsible for the overall control, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of various projects within a programme and/or portfolio ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Project Managers are expected to take an active role in establishing and utilising One NZ Project Management best practice and continuous improvement of PM tools, processes and methodologies.

Ko tō mahi – what you’ll do

  • Delivery of projects within quality, time, budget and scope agreed
  • Leadership & Guidance of Projects and Project Streams
  • Develop strong relationships, build knowledge and trust
  • Manage project budget and have full ownership and accountability for programme/project financial management
  • Manage Change, Risks and Issues to agreed standards
  • Vendor / Commercial Management to agreed One NZ standards
  • Support the wider Project Management standards delivering to agreed PM KPIs and assisting with continuous improvement of PM tools, processes & methodologies
  • Manage project implementations / deployments – including after-hours changes, when required
  • Develop Resource Plans by utilising the central resource pools and ensuring Resource Forecasts are up to date
  • Create and lead project teams to deliver projects successfully
  • Manage all aspects of standard project reporting on time and accurately reflecting project status

Na tōu rourou – what you’ll bring

  • Proven PM experience and at least 3 years relevant industry experience
  • Structured thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Proven experience in a variety of customer facing projects in a technology environment
  • Experience of balancing customer stakeholders with internal business outcomes
  • Experience of interpreting business plans and business drivers into project based delivery models
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of core information technology, such as network, server, application development, cloud computing
  • Professional knowledge of project management methodologies, frameworks, processes and tools
  • Prince2 Practitioner, PMP or similar equivalent certification preferable
