About “Education Perfect”
Education Perfect is a toolkit of learning, assessment and analytics features designed to help teachers engage students, track growth and differentiate their teaching.
Benefits for working with us:
1. Holiday Period – Special Leave
We know all our EPeeps work hard through the year, and as a business we choose to have a shutdown period over the holiday season. To support this EP offers permanent full-time EPeeps 3 days special leave in addition to the normal annual leave entitlement to cover some of the days during the shutdown. This will be pro-rata based on the standard hours worked for any part-time staff.
2. Wellness Allowance
EP offers permanent EPeeps a $500 allowance per year after the first 6 months of employment to reimburse expenses linked to their well-being. This could be linked to sports, music, health, learning and more.
3. EAP Program
EP’s employee assistance program is an independent service designed to provide support and advice to team members on any issues they are facing. It utilises New Zealand’s largest provider, EAP Services. The service provides unlimited
sessions, in all locations.
4. Parental Leave
For primary care-givers EP provides top-up pay to increase government payments to the full salary equivalent for up to 12 weeks of leave. For secondary care-givers EP provides 2 weeks of paid special leave so they can be there for support during this time.
To support primary care-givers returning to work, EP provides a reimbursement of child care costs of $50 per week for each pre-school age child, for anyone working full time (and pro-rated for those working fewer days).
EP aims to support flexible working. Working as one team is important to us, so many team members will be expected to work in specific locations, but EP provides all team members with a laptop, and offers flexibility to work from home/ other locations agreed with your manager.
EP is always looking to grow the team with great people. If you can help by providing a referral, we offer a NZ$2,000 pre tax bonus for any permanent position after they have successfully completed their first 6 months with EP.
8. Communication Allowance
The communication subsidy will cover $50 per month for any remote workers for any combination of internet or phone charges. The purpose of this is to cover the incremental cost between that of a standard personal communication plan and
an upgraded plan as a result of working for EP in a remote working mode.
9. Home Set-Up Benefit
If you are a remote worker EP offers a home set-up benefit. This benefit can be used towards the purchase of at home set-up utilities for up to $1,000.
10. Mana Wahine
Mana Wāhine is a group developed to empower and support all women individually and collectively. The group provides a space for sharing experiences, ideas and resources. They come together for monthly kōrero to share and discuss specific topics and hear from experienced Wāhine.
11. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee
At EP we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive culture that supports, encourages and values all EPeeps and their unique backgrounds. We believe this is crucial for developing a world-class product that engages and inspires our
customers – customers just as diverse as us. By celebrating each of our individual experiences, talents and perspectives, we come together as one team to focus on humanising technology. Our diverse multicultural workforce is one of our strengths as we welcome people into our whanau from all backgrounds. EP is proud of its Kiwi heritage and recognises Te Tiriti o Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi), and the principles of partnership, participation and protection. The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee assists in establishing strategic priorities and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion-related initiatives. The Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Committee is made up of a range of diverse EPeeps with representation from different EP functions, levels, geographies, and identities.
12. Environmental Impact Committee
EP is a BCorp-certified company and certified carbon net zero. We are committed to positive climate action and responsible consumption and production. As part of our journey towards a more clean and sustainable company, and to continue building on the progress we’ve made to date, we have formed the Environmental Impact Committee. The objective of this Committee will be to assist in establishing environmental strategic priorities and implementing initiatives across the whole company aligned with the BCorp and carbon emissions assessments.
13. Wellness Committee
EP is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our EPeeps encompassing their physical, mental and social well-being. The Wellness Committee facilitates wellness communication through various
online resources and events, encourages physical activity and supports mental and emotional well-being of our EPeeps.
