Graphic Designer / Illustrator
As 'Amy Lou Creative', I am a freelance graphic designer / illustrator. I work to provide creative solutions for brands and businesses. This involves providing graphic design, illustration and consulting services - and at times a mix of the three.
At No9, no two days are the same in regards to graphic design. The projects I complete range from small jobs such as designing business cards and social media content - to larger jobs, for example branding and web design. No9 is also a franchise for Printing.com New Zealand, which means that aside from graphic design, I am also working to process and send various jobs to print, ensuring that the client is happy with the product they will receive - and doing so in a timely manor.
In-House E-Marketing Designer
In this role, I designed marketing EDM’s twice week as well as social media content to accompany each EDM. This involves using programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator or other drawing apps as well as Campaign Monitor to send the campaigns.
Digital Marketing Intern
In this 19 week internship, I was part of a marketing team as a designer to bring a new look to Hawke’s Bay Wine’s digital communications. My projects included: creating a social media plan/content, designing promotional & educational material and attending marketing meetings to consult from a design point of view.
Bachelor of Creative Practice
When I started my student journey, I was certain that I was to become a fashion designer - thanks to an inspiring high school sewing teacher. From there I completed a Diploma of Fashion and made the decision to cross credit into the Bachelor of Creative Practice. After attending Semi-Permanent and completing a 12 week internship with Snapfire Design in my final year, my world had changed and I made the realization that graphic design
is where I should be.
