After working in corporate roles for a decade, I decided to take the leap into self-employment and leverage my expertise and experience to help small businesses, while also enjoying greater flexibility to balance my career with motherhood. I wanted to build something that’s not just a job, but a passion project where I can truly make a difference for my clients.

My diverse background in financial services and event and travel management means I bring a unique blend of skills to the table. Whether it’s optimising operations or delivering seamless events, I thrive in diverse environments.

I left my corporate role in March, to start my own VA business and leverage my experience to help small business owners.
Working for myself allows me to do work that I enjoy and that I am good at, particularly operational tasks, improving efficiency and work processes, and helping business owners get organised. I am also able to incorporate my interest and experience in planning and delivering events and travel itineraries.
On top of this, running my own business has given me first-hand experience, and a much better understanding of all the time-consuming administrative tasks that go into running a business which I didn't really need to think about when I worked as an employee. And this may be the most valuable insight I've gained so far.
