Job Description

There are approximately 500,000 SME businesses in NZ and they’re a really important customer segment at Z. We have an ambition to be recognised as a key partner for New Zealand’s Small-to-Medium Enterprises and an innovative contributor to their success.

At Z we love to develop and grow our people.  As the result of an internal movement, we have an opening for a SME Growth Lead. In this role you will be accountable for bringing the SME Segment, Product, and relevant Experience Strategies to life. Using insights and data to develop initiatives and enhancements that contribute to the and value of this segment at Z.

Another key focus will be managing and optimising the SME Z Business Product set ensuring these deliver on their customer value proposition reliably for customers today and continue to evolve for future needs.

It is a key role within the team where you will have the opportunity to use your SME knowledge, excellent relationship skills and ability to turn products and experiences into commercial success.

You will have the opportunity to

  • Optimise and execute the SME Product Strategy and roadmap, aligning it to strategies in other business areas so that it delivers to the overall needs of our customers
  • Use your strong analytical skills to effectively translate data, business knowledge and business goals into actionable insights, strategies and plans
  • Create differentiation from competitors by continually seeking to understand customer needs, co-creating, undertaking user testing, research and engaging with customer facing teams to understand pain-points and opportunities
  • Provide leadership, subject matter expertise and project management capability to delivery teams that build, execute and monitor SME initiatives
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to manage any rollout considerations across the business, including across Z’s multiple customer sets, channels, and networks
  • Working with the Marketing team, you will drive the delivery of the marcomms activity to the SME market for growth and retention

Qualifications

What you’ll bring to Z

  • Experience in working with small and medium enterprises and undertaking and using customer research and insight to develop and implement customer-led strategies
  • Commercial experience monetizing B2B products and experiences
  • A love of providing a great customer experience, from strategic planning through to tactical execution
  • Stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills with the ability to share your passion for the product and customer group and generate understanding and buy-in
  • Knowledge of operations – understand the full customer experience journey for the segment, and implications on our operational teams to ensure the experience-built works both for the customer and internally

The base salary range for this role is $151,725 to $170,000 per annum, plus 15% STI based on company performance, a 5% KiwiSaver employer contribution and health insurance through Southern Cross.
