Professional Experience

Over the past decade, I have specialized in the private and government insurance sectors, leading teams managing claim portfolios post-Canterbury earthquakes. My experience in time-critical projects has honed my analytical and technical skills, enabling me to build solution-focused teams and deliver strategic, operational solutions under high-pressure, deadline-driven conditions.

In 2018, I contributed to revitalizing EQC’s internal claim management processes, collaborating to design and implement an optimal framework for efficiency, stakeholder engagement, and successful negotiation outcomes.

Returning to the private sector in 2019, I led and trained specialty motor claims teams through the COVID-19 pandemic, adapting quickly and mastering new skills in financial services, particularly in farm and heavy machinery claims.

In early 2021, I was appointed Product Owner (PO) for Suncorp’s Safe Agile initiative, Momentum. This role expanded my understanding of enterprise support and IT service delivery, managing products for IBM, Salesforce, Guidewire, Google, and Adobe. My success led to coordinating and fronting the uplift of business capabilities to meet mandatory climate disclosure requirements and participating in refreshing our Agile Centre of Excellence to enhance efficiency and value delivery.

Personal Summary 

I am an enthusiastic and nature-loving individual who thrives on an active and fulfilling lifestyle. Embracing early starts and productive days, I find joy in outdoor adventures, particularly camping by the beach. My ideal vacations involve immersing myself in the tranquillity of nature, though I equally cherish visits to my parents in Tauranga, where I can enjoy the warmer climate during winter. While I possess a bubbly personality, I deeply value quality time with my husband and family, often favouring quiet moments reading in the garden over the hustle and bustle of city life. My commitment to balance, community and family-centric values defines my approach to life and work.

I have been leading technology teams for more than 15 years, in various organisations.
I get a real kick out of helping people progress their careers, this has been a focus for me for some time, particularly in my current role. I have developed a career growth framework, which is being used to guide development conversations and as a tool for setting goals across the organisation.

I am interested in people leadership, people experience, people and culture – I have recently started work on an Employee Experience Design certification through Excellent’s EX design school.

With extensive experience in marketing, I am a passionate and results-oriented marketing and sales professional who helps clients achieve their goals and grow their brands.

I currently work as a marketing strategy consultant, focusing on branding, content marketing and account management for various projects and contracts.

Previously, I was a senior marketing advisor at Environment Canterbury, where I managed stakeholder relationships and developed marketing campaigns for environmental issues.

Before that, I was a marketing manager at Boost Marketing, where I led a team of professionals and handled client relationships across different industries.

I have skills in growth marketing, marketing communications, and new business development, as well as a strong background in digital technologies and design thinking.

I enjoy collaborating with diverse and talented teams, and I am always eager to learn new things and take on new challenges.

I believe that marketing is a powerful tool to create positive change and impact in the world.

For my next career step, I’m seeking a project management role where I can where I can combine creativity, strategic planning and problem solving to successfully manage projects through to completion.

An intuitive planner and naturally analytical, I have developed marketing and social media strategies that grew audiences and project managed 300+ attendee business events as well as optimised internal processes to create a better experience for staff.
